Who said what?

One of the most confusing things about Twitter is the "retweet". There are so many different ways that people add their own comments to a tweet it's sometimes hard to tell who said what. I wish there was a way everyone could agree on to do a retweet with comments.

Here's my way. And for the sake of this exercise, I'll use the same tweet for the different ways I've seen it done. Here's one I did a while back:

This is why I hate flying RT @???: My girlfriend just got off wicked, bumpy flight. Said everyone was throwing up. Even flight attendant.

See @??? wrote that piece about her friend and you can clearly see it was me who said I hate flying. Right?

Here are various versions of RT's I've seen:

"@???: My girlfriend just got off wicked, bumpy flight. Said everyone was throwing up. Even flight attendant."...This is why I hate flying

Note: I've seen it with and without the quotes

Or

RT @???: My girlfriend just got off wicked, bumpy flight. Said everyone was throwing up. Even flight attendant. > This is why I hate flying

Or

@???: My girlfriend just got off wicked, bumpy flight. Said everyone was throwing up. Even flight attendant <--This is why I hate flying

Or

@???: My girlfriend just got off wicked, bumpy flight. Said everyone was throwing up. Even flight attendant (This is why I hate flying)

Out all the styles, I dislike the quotes the most. And those without RT in them.

Tutorial anyone?

I agree. The only problem is I have been trying out different phone apps for viewing my Twitter and not all are the same. It is often difficult to RT or to do it the way I like. Some automatically quote it and such.
